Here's a few articles I've found very helpful from Microchip:
An Introduction to AC Induction Motor Control Using the dsPIC30F / dsPIC33F DSC http://www.microchip.com/stellent/id...pnote=en023136
AC Induction Motor Fundamentals http://www.microchip.com/stellent/id...pnote=en012135
Sensorless Field Oriented Control (FOC) of an AC Induction Motor (ACIM) http://www.microchip.com/stellent/id...pnote=en533872
Sensorless Field Oriented Control (FOC) of an AC Induction Motor (ACIM) Using Field Weakening http://www.microchip.com/stellent/id...pnote=en536065
Using the dsPIC30F / dsPIC33F for Vector Control of an ACIM http://www.microchip.com/stellent/id...pnote=en019806
dsPIC30F4012 http://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts...cName=en010338
A couple of years ago I started on a design for an EV induction motor controller. I've learned a lot since then! Its not complete and I'm probably going to rip it up in favour of a surface mount design. It incorporates the micro, gate drive, voltage and current measurement, CAN interface and QE sensor input, if needed.
