I myself have an ongoing project going with my father. I have a Jet industries Electrica.

We installed 4 additional batteries in the back seat area to give the car 120VDC

We then removed the lester charger and installed an Elcon 2.5kW charger and an accessory battery charger.

While under the hood we installed a new curtis throttle pot.

We then moved the controller from the rear quarter panel to the front of the car to where the radiator would have been.

And finally we relocated the charging port to the fuel filler door instead of its original location on the drivers side rear quarter panel.

hi, im currently converting a 79 triumph spitfire to run at 96v. this will be my second ev conversion, my first was a 95 dodge neon conversion, but i have learned alot since then, here is the build thread for the neon, and i will be up loading some pics of the spitfire in a bit.

I have a production made EV. It is a jet industries electrica.
My father had one a few years ago and it got me on track to go Electric. I had been wanting to build an EV for many years now. My father and I figured that we would convert a saturn. Since they are cheap to obtain and they have plenty of room for batteries. There is another person I know on this board by the name of Mizlpix that is building a roadster with an AC motor it is really awesome.

Hello, I just joined here this morning. Yesterday I became the newest member of www.firstthecar.com My new acquaintance/employer/co-alt energy evangelist Steve has put an electric car together that will keep it's batteries at full charge as long as the vehicle maintains an average speed above 35MPH useing fan driven generators. Right now Steve is estimating that the vehicle will survive 2-3 hours of stop and go gridlock. Before we make that an actual claim we'll need to do some tests to see what our actual results are. The donor car for this project is a Mazda 323; I'm not sure of the year offhand. The system has been patented but will be made available to the public.

Has this group held ralleys and/or get-togethers to show off their creations? I would like to offer any assistance that I can. After I get our website up and running I can help people interested to build their own website and get it hosted. I'm a geek and love doing that.
