    Hi, Lee Hart,
I read your post about the rectator circuit you describe. I was looling for some very smart battery circuits, that paralleled and switched blocks in series, also using diods, to obtain differnet voltages.
I`m driving a VW Golf on 96V 70Ah Gelcels, in a batpack type circuit, switching the batteries in series. Since the old dc motor draws up to 200 amps, it`s ruining the batteries fast.
Now, I think with as different design, I cold use your idea to accelerate with the packs in parallel and once it´s close to targetspeed, connect them in series. I Think my batteries would last much longer this way.
Abnout your question about the gatedrive of high side mosfets, there are lots of drivers out there.
Did you go on with your rectator idea?
    Truely, Johannes
