Dear Administrator of the forum my company Arthur D. Little (one of the leading management consulting firm) is performing a study on Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) aiming at analyzing UK customer purchasing and utilization experience.
To reach that objective we need to interview (by telephone or through a quick online survey) some PHEV drivers.
Can you help us to recruit/engage them through the forum you manage? This can be an occasion also for your forum to increase its visibility considering that we will mention it in the study.
Please let me know if you are interested to collaborate with us.
    Thanks.
    Best regards

    Hello Duncan,

Hope you are doing well today.

My name is Vladimir and I'm from Sofia Bulgaria.

I want to create fast electric car for drag race, time attacks.
I''m new to the EV world. The car that I have right now is 1.9 300hp diesel, but I want to create something different, something new.
From the information here I understand that the difference between ac and dc motors is in the torque numbers which in dc motors achieves earlier compare to the AC.

I saw also you project with lightweight car and also a few more projects but I want to make sure that I will take the right decision for the motor with your help.

Here in my town I found one guy which sell a forklift motors. Is it good to pick one from him or not.

Please help me to create a plan for this project.

    Thank you.

Hi Duncan, Do you know of "EVs Enhanced" in Christchurch? I'm trying to get in touch with them to get a leaf tool for syncing battery to controller. They have no number on their website and haven't returned my email. Are they local to you?

    Hi Duncan,

You mentioned in "electric DC car motor 70Kw, 96 - 144V wanted" that you knew where to get $200 forklift motors in NZ. I'd love one. Do you know if there are any left?

    Cheers,

    Mike

I made a post yesterday for the first time. I may have duplicated it by accident, but I have not seen it show up yet. How long does it take to show up?

    Hi Duncan

Could you please see if you can approve my post on the "All EV Conversions and Builds" or let me know if there is a reason it cannot be approved. For whatever reasons, this forum won't let me send private messages and I feel that the post could really help me out or maybe intrigue the members of this platform?

    Hi Duncan

I have made good progress with my conversion. It now has lithium and goes at least 75 Kmhr. Just fiddling with battery harness and stuff.
How do I get the 240 v charging certified. I assume the ev certifier does not do this. Any ideas?
I am using 35 mm cable, but my anderson connector wants 70mm. Will the lugs crimp down to this size?
My student had their hood stolen! But are about to buy a motor, and get more sponsorship.

    Thanks Louis

Hi Duncan. Thanks for the reply I will use both an anderson connector and fuses and contactors at both poles. I was keen to use the anderson connector closest to the battery and then fuses, shunts, and contactors in a control box immediately after that but wasn't sure whether I would be violating LVVTA guidelines by not having "fuses as close as possible to the battery but outside any venting battery box".
I already have an anderson connector and one 500A fuse but need another So I am very interested in the one you have. What rating is it and how much would you like for it.

    Cheers
    David
