They are new cells that we wipe off the factory tabs and install our own. They are genuine A123 m1 cells.

hithe A123 cells you use for packs, where are they from? are they the chinese cells or from usa?

I'm following your battery searches with interest. However, I probably won't be ready to buy batteries for some time as I have to first get my SAAB 96 restored enough to be a roadworthy glider. Hopefully in another six months or so the battery situation will open up a little bit more.
