    Hey Stuart,

Just reading up on your blog and thought I'd let you know I'm working on a second version of the Volt Blochers with more features that will hopefully make your BMS desinging a lot easier. The new version can be bolted directly to the cells. You can choose between three different shunting voltages with a switch (default will be 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8v shunting but any custom voltages can be done). I'm also adding high and low voltage detection circuits. If you have a smart charger you can connect the modules to the charger. This will allow the charger to back off it's amps when any cell is reporting the high voltage condition. So this will not only allow them to balance but protect from over voltage now. The low voltage circuit can either be connected to a controller that supports this triggering or in a custom setup to cut back or kill the throttle (I won't use, but I know some want this).

Looking forward to seeing more progress on the Miata!

    Brian
