comparing this company with any previous or current scam is not really fair at this point.i will call again and get more info.they have at least one car they are testing according to the gentleman i spoke with.and we truly have no idea that they have taken any money from anyone.i admit appearances may be decieving but all we can do is get the facts before judging anything.

any body here live in cincinatti?

I'm saying that they're asking for deposits, which they are, without a proven track record, which they don't have. Those are the facts.

From their own website:
  • $10,000 down payment

  • We will advise you of delivery date after receipt of the down payment. Anticipated delivery in early 2009.
When other startups have tried the same, it was typically because they were undercapitalized. People visiting this forum should be aware of both the positive (potential for a really neat EV) and the negative (potential for a company to take your deposit, then fold before delivering the vehicle they promised).

OK, fair enough, but I still don't think that they should be actively dumped on until you know for sure either way.

According to this article originally posted by joseph3354

They say they are only accepting orders from within Cincinatti for the first run of 300. If you live in Cincinatti, rather than "steering clear" as some have sugested, go and see them and see what they got and what they are actually offering delivery date wise. dont like what you hear/see? KEEP YOUR CASH.

If you don't and you just slip them 10K online, you'd have to be some kind of TWIT

I tend to agree - new ventures have it hard enough without undue cynicism. Healthy caveat emptor is another matter

If they were on the up and up they would have a viable product to show us and some visuals on it's production. Even if it's only one. At least one can show proof of concept and that they did spend a lot of their own money to do it. That shows that they at least mean business. It does not prove that they can actually build others that will stand up to the claims. I too would rather see some real meat come out of these so called shops that are promising soooo much. So far not many are doing much in that department. Some are actually producing some nicely done S-10's. No racy cars but they do what they claim. Affordable too. So you might do better to be a bit more skeptical of such claims. Sure it would be nice but to have these available but I don't hold out much for that success since I have never seen a working prototype of what they claim to build. I on the other hand will learn and build my own before they have any viable product. I just don't have the patience to wait. Some day it will happen and I pitty those who loose their butts on promises never kept and nothing to show for the money spent. In other words many will loose a lot of money if these companies never produce a product but they will be happy to keep your money. : )

But why be so hard on someone who has done nothing wrong?
