Hi Folk's,
My Curtis 1231C controller I bought last march spurts about every 10-15 seconds (motor/battery current drops off for a 1/4 second). has anyone else experienced that? I remember that occuring in a previous Curtis control a couple weeks before it turned into a moracca.

I have a 1231C also. I call the stuff I experienced "lurching". I
scared the c__p out of me more than once, because it happened while
sitting at a traffic light. The first time it happened, it was
violent enough that I thought I had been struck from behind. I sent
it to the factory for "reman" service, and they sent a replacement.
Unfortunately, the replacement likewise races -- after it has been
operating for 10 minutes or more.

I'm building the Paul&Sabrina 500 A cougar as a replacement.

My first controller was a Curtis that had similar behavior. Discussed
here several years ago. It would have very brief dropouts. Felt like
hitting a bump in the road. The dropouts were less frequent than 10-15
seconds, more like 1/2-5 minutes apart. Wayne took the Curtis back and
sold me a Logisystem. Very much like jumping out of the skillet and
into the fire. :-( The Evnetics has given me no such trouble.
