Just an update on the cells. I finally made contact with the owner of the company in Taiwan. We are having trouble emailing each other so he finally called me. Long story short, I will be offering the cells that they produce on an automated system. (No hand built thundersky modules) These cells use a patented powder that is also used by A123. In independent testing they have a continuous draw of 10c with a burst of 18sec at 40c. These are conservative numbers as Mr. Pihsaing assures me they can handle much more. I will have full documentation as soon as we figure out why my email keeps rejecting there emails to me. These are the batteries used by lifebatt.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN BMS......
I'm only offering the cells themselves....

Cost, capacity, cycles, warranty? Sound good though... 40c is insane!

If these are the Yesa cells they may not be the same as the lifebatts.

Do not know cost or warranty until email situation is resolved, many different capacities, 4,000 cycles to 70% capacity,(a very long time).
Yes 40c is insane, A123 claims 55c on there site using the same powder from Phostec.

At any point will you be able to give us specific manufacturing details so we can see who actually makes these cells and what their process is? Is there anything to back up their claims? Any real world users of these products? I take it at this point you are merely going on what you have been told by the supplier?

4000 cycles is pretty crazy too, I hope they have some stuff to back up these numbers... it seems too good to be true.

Is this the same supplier as these estimates ?:
" I'm estimating between$2.54 - $3.00 per AH per cell.
So a 3.3v 10ah cell might be $30.00
Everything is plus shipping....."

So a 72V 60Ah pack should cost ~$4000? Now I just need a motor/controller package that can handle 2400A...lol.

As stated in the earlier post I will have details when the email problem is fixed.
I'm sure they are not going to give away patented manufacturing details to me. I can say after speaking with the owner of the company yesterday and my own research, they are the only manufacturer that is automated.
All information that I've stated comes from independent tests not from the manufacturer.
This manufacturer makes the batteries for Lifebatt. Ask them how they perform.
Please try to remember, I'm not a distributor for them, I'm not a salesman for them, I'm trying to do a group purchase for the diy folks here. I run my own business and time is short so I do the best I can.
Again, as soon as the email glitch is fixed I will relay that info.

After 4000 cycles, capacity had only dropped to 70% of original rated capacity.
I think we have all seen what the A123 cells are capable of. They are real and work real well.
This company holds exclusive rights to the phostec powder that allows for the high capacity/charging rates, has something to do with carbon being introduced in the manufacturing process. Don't know how it works, but I'm going to use them. Anyone thats wants in let me know.
The owner of the company said that the reason for the failure in the Thundersky batteries was that they skip the carbon step due to lack of automation and patent violation laws.
He was very upfront with me and seemed very sincere. I trust my instincts when doing business they have not failed me in almost 30 years. He gave me no reason not to trust him.

Once it's all said and done, let me know what the price is for the 100Ah cells. They sound very promising. Of course at 15C the only controller I could use for a DC system would be Zilla that could handle 1500Ah. Pushing things up to their peak of 40C would shoot things up to 4000Ah. I don't think I need that kind of current draw. That being said, as long as they can do 1-5C for normal operations then I'm happy to be involved with a group buy.
