I am all for learning and training, but I don't want to see the government
involved in all of this (although it may be inevitable). I can do most
everything on any of your lists except the welding, including the lathe
work, but I choose to farm the machining out as I have some very good
machinists close by, as well as welders. It's a little more running for me,
and more expensive, but the customer benefits by their expertise, and they
get some work out of it, also, keeping them in business.
That is called a win/win, but if we get too technical about this, or if the
government gets involved, we all lose.
