One of our customers in Amsterdam converted a Glastron to electric and has
posted several good videos on YouTube about the conversion and how the boat
performs (extremely well, actually). I thought this might be a bit too hard
on the motor - boats, especially when up on plane - require a lot of power
continuously but so far the Kostov motor is hanging in there. The Soliton1
is barely breaking a sweat; I think the highest current I've seen it deliver
is 500-600A.

At any rate, here's one of their early videos that compares two identical
boats, one with the original ICE and one with the electric drive:

Thanks for sharing the nice Electric boat conversion video.
Though it was hard to see, I am glad it was mentioned that the ice was
spewing more than just exhaust in the air but also fowling the waterways
too with oil & gunk.

The video makes for a good tool by U.S. EVangels who want to show their
local water management that when ice boats are trashing the
lakes/reservoirs' waters not all boats need be prohibited.

{<OT> but useful to EVangels giving some history to sway water
management officials ...

Electric boats got some promotion during the 1990's in the U.S. because
at the same time the Big 7 automakers were touting to CARB that they
were going to make EVs (hmmm ... sounds a little like today ...). The
oil companies knew but did not say the MBTE additive they were pushing
to sell as a petrol oxygenate (lowers ice emissions) had serious water
contamination issues

more+

It took until after 2002 to stop adding MBTE in CA petrol and switch to
using Ethanol as the oxygenate, but by then quite a bit of damage (that
still exists today) had been done, and the oil companies had already
made their (fat-n-happy) profits.

When you see the old oil company TV ad that said, "Do people care ...
?", think, yes, yes 'people' care, but those guys don't

}

Electric boats do not get nearly enough press. Electric aircraft get
more PR than E-boats do. Links:
