Thumbs up RechargeCar Inc.

RechargeCar Inc. would like to introduce ourselves to this forum and get to know some of the knowledgeable and experienced members. Over the past couple of years, we have been steadily working to design, test and build products designed specifically for the electric car builder/converter/enthusiast - people just like us. We are getting ready to start offering some of our innovations to you soon.

Our strategy to is develop a very modular and customizable system - starting by improving DIY EV instrumentation. How can you increase your EV's efficiency and range without knowing exactly what is going on under the hood? How fast is your motor turning, how much power is being used, how much power is left, how far have you gone, how hot is something getting? By answering questions like these, you can build a better car.

For example, while building our first prototype car, we noticed that measuring the RPM of our motor was cumbersome. We were afraid of over-revving the motor and breaking it, we were not sure what the most efficient RPM was and not sure what gear to be in while driving. We needed a tach - and a fancy one at that. We designed one and liked it so much we thought others will like it too, so we built a few more and called it the AutoBlock RPM.

The AutoBlock RPM is a USB sensor interface designed to work with an in-dash computer, laptop or netbook. It interprets information from many different types of rotation sensors (or the one we sell) and communicates with your computer to display how fast something is spinning.

Our software-based instrumentation system provides you all the data you want with meters, graphs and logs.

We will continue to introduce more AutoBlocks and other products - all of which will help you build a better EV.

Feel free to check out our site, and give us some feedback. We are here to help you and want to know what you think!

Default RechargeCar Inc.

RechargeCar Inc. has collaborated with NetGain Motors, Inc. to develop an affordable and easy to install speed sensor for their motors. Our WarP™ Speed Sensor mounts to the tail shaft of many motors to provide RPM measurement.

The lower profile of our speed sensor allows for other accessories (pulleys, etc) to be used at the same time.

The Warp™ Speed Sensor package includes a stainless steel bracket, two 1/4-20" bolts with lock washers, a hall-effect sensor with 8 foot cable (including 2 foot pigtail), and a customizable exciter ring to provide 1, 2 or 4 pulses per revolution.
