Default Reverse Trike hybrid idea. any thoughts on hub motors?

Hi guys,
First post i think i have made on the web period, please be gentle with me.
I have an idea about building a reverse trike hopefully looking something like an atom. I want to use a motorbike engine, gearbox and swing arm complete and two electrics hub motors for the front wheel drive. My daily comute is a 15 mile round trip and I don't need more than 35 - 40 mph avalible on these journeys. Cost is going to be a big factor in the project so I've tried to keep my expectations low performance - if on the odd ocassion I need to go on the motorway/freeway I though the motorbike engine would be capable.
I 've been looking on www.NewKellyController.com at hub motors but I don't know what kind of motor I need to meet my requirements. i've seen some threads on the forum but i assume that as i won't have a gearbox attached my needs might be different?

thank you for your help - the site is fantastic
