To my understanding, for that to work properly with a LiFePO4 pack, you'd need a charger for each battery...one BMS will not work for a series-wired pack. So, for the 48-volt pack, does that mean they're shipping 16 chargers?
Still a little cloudy on the specifications of their packs...particularly stable discharge rates. I just sent him an email asking for a price quote on 4 - 100Ah cells with BMS & charger for testing purposes.

From an earlier thread:
The price they quoted me was:
96V@100Ah pack without BMS or Charger is $5668 or $188.93 per cell or 59.0-cents per Wh.
96V@200Ah pack without BMS or Charger is $11,290 or $376.33 per cell or 58.8-cents per Wh.
I was told that the price included shipping to Gainesville Florida.
When I asked about BMS and Chargers they said this:
About BMS and Charger ,you can buy from your country .
We production 24v 36v 48v charger only .
So not have 96v charger .

so, is it possible so separate the traction pack into 48v parts for charging? I'm wiring next weekend, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

Stupid!? No, that's brilliant. I don't see why not. Other people (some on this list, Brian) use multiple 12V chargers on their lead-acid batteries.
I would want to learn more about the operation and function of Lithium BMS though, just to be sure. It is a big inve$tment!

I am interested in good battery products.
However, I am of the belief that you should have a some distribution here(USA storefront) I would rather pay a higher price for local and regional service.
China gets a bad rap because they either do bad things or allow bad things to happen. Either way I do not want any part of lead painted toys, poison dog food, poison baby milk, pocket rockets, cheap knock offs, copy cat, cardboard disguised as food, and misleading products sent to me direct from China via ebay.
Thanks but no thanks

There hasn't been any action in this thread recently. Has anyone taken the risk and bought one of these packs?

I have a 144V200ah battery on order, but its from sieden, not hi-power. Its a similar product for the same price. Look at the blog section to see my testing that was done on a 12.8V sample.
If you can afford to wait for some real world results, I'm aiming to have my car running by spring.

Thanks for taking the plunge! My pickup conversion is running T-125's but I'm scoping out another motorcycle project and want to use lithium for that. Please do keep everyone up to speed on how your project is going.

How about giving us some details, ie. what is the dimensions, weight, cost if you want etc. I've got about the same pack but in a LA type.
So you have 29kw and my pack is about 34kw. I've often wondered how much further I could go with the same KW but with a half ton less weight. My pack is estimated to be 1500 lbs not including the steel racks. I'd say that added another 80-100lbs.
