Not a great idea,

I used to log 5 to 8k on a bike, but today their are just too many distracted drivers.

On a bike of any kind-you have to be 100% on your decisions or else you are dead. On a car, you can hit a cyclist, motorcyclist or pedestrian, and more than likely you will live through it...

Have to bite the bullet, drive the car to work...
