Anyone here have recommendations good or bad for a web site host?

I use Fatcow and Godaddy.... both are good, Godaddy is a little more expensive. Both have good speed and lots of options.

I have 1and1 for my personal site. I'm not a professional web developer, but I'm happy with what they provide.

I'm trying to remember why everyone got mad at GoDaddy recently... (not that they're a bad host or anything)

edit: It was because they supported SOPA but apparently they have a new CEO who reversed their position

Ive had problems with godady's email forwarding making stuff disappear.

I now use hostgator and buy domains at 1&1... but Im no web developer either.

For regular shared hosting, me and most people I know have had the best luck with Hostgator.
