Hi all,
Very good forum, just finished reading the whole Ripperton thread, inspiring stuff!
Which is why i'm wondering if my plan will work, as i've been inspired but i don't have any space to do any work, so i'm looking at a very minimal build on a pedal assitance push bike.
The idea being to mount the motor on a fettled pannier rack, run a chain down to the largest cog on the cassette, and then adjust the derailleur so it cant move the existing chain that far up the cassette.
Here's a very quick sketch

the motor being the red circle and the blue loop representing the chain.
Also part of my reasoning is that this method will provide a simple way to build a weatherproof housing for battery and motor
Any thoughts appreciated!
