Seems like reasonable goals. You probably don't need a 1200 amp controller (based on your goals) though.. not that it would hurt anything. 1000 amp would be plenty. Also, you may want to consider upping the voltage a bit with a few more cells. If you want to keep the budget the same, you could go to 180 Ah cells with more of them. I settled on 66. Once you get up to this number, the sag at full throttle is right around the max voltage of a regular series wound motor (not HV models). Overall, reasonable.

PS. If I were doing a Porsche, I'd go with the 11" motor. . and maybe even a 1400 amp controller..

Ok i have been scouring the net and listening to lots of people and it seems most people would go 11HV so im now looking at that. What do you guys use for Charging a HV system like 220v or higher?? i was looking at the Elcon but to do HV i would need 2 and thats expensive....
Also looking for a good DC-DC convetor high amps ? any ideas seen a few but not sure.
Been Talking to some friends about this project in perticular the clutch debate and i think i have come down on the clutchless side anyone done this and if so whats it like?
Ok thats it for now let me know of anything that might be useful
cheers
