Default [EVDL] LiFePo4, Hybrid Experiment

Hi Roy, why do you think it's a joke? I'm working
hard trying to experiment with something different, at
least I've not seen anyone else try it.

I'm working to enhance the performance of the Eclipse,
with the restraints I have here in Oklahoma. I really
don't appreciate being chastised about it.

If you're interested in the experiment and it's
outcome great, if you aren't great. Don't belittle
just for the heck of it.

Michael, I don't think Roy meant to be insulting you - your experiment is
pretty cool, in my opinion, just the kind of garage tinkering that a lot of
us here are doing.

I think Roy's point is that your homegrown experimentation is a long way
from the level of technical sophistication that LionEV is claiming to be
operating at. What concerns me is that you are the only actual person
identifiable on the entire LionEV website (last I looked) and your
experiment is the only real world data or product shown there. No completed
vehicles, no full-sized battery packs, no chargers, no BMS. Just a lot of
downloaded pictures from Chinese manufacturers and car company websites,
coupled with extravagant and sometimes inconsistent claims. And I think
you'd agree that your experiment isn't exactly at the level of manufacturing
and technical expertise LionEV claims to possess.

What does that tell you about the people you're doing business with?

I believe that Steve Condie has stated my position below even more eloquently than I could have.

There is nothing wrong with tacking something together with available materials for experimentation.

But... it is presented as the only real world stuff on the lionev website.

I wasn't going to mention the appearance of the automotive-type battery charger and the $2.99 Harbor Freight special VOM in the slide show but... Ooops! I mentioned it.

Again, not a problem for a home-grown experiment, but shouldn't be there as the _only_ real world representation of a supposedly cutting-edge EV company.

Still... no _personal_ insult intended. Professional insult toward lionev.com intended?

I am OK with that :-)

Roy
