I am a newbie and wanted a detailed wiring diagram as the one on KTA's website. The diagram includes placement of diodes and fuses and is sold for $85. Does anyone have a schematic that detailed?

You should take a look at the WIKI tab found at the top right side of your screen at the DIYElectric car forum.
It has all kinds of basic information on how to setup an EV including how to wire an EV.

well.... if you buy some stuff from them, they'll give you the schematic, which is really a good place to start. You'll find that you kinda get what you pay for when looking for specific help. Sometimes its better to pay a little bit for experienced consultation. General schematics are available lots of places, the devil is in the details of exactly what components, best arrangement in your space, etc.
