Hey Guys,
This group is the closest to AEVA so i will ask here. Are the AEVA forums busted?
I was part of a group buy on there and i think the guy might like to get paid at some point...

Cheers

Hi Taffy,

I was a member of that forum a year or so ago and just checked again…. it does appear to be down and has been for quite a few days at least? The Main Page seems to be up (http://www.aeva.asn.au ) but no notice or anything?? Must be a cached page or something as the South Australian link is even wrong…..

IMHO the DIY forum guys seem more helpful and less “cutting edge” talk, hence my move to here.

Let hope they get it back soon….. and you get your group buy sorted.

Cheers

Just looked at your project, looks very interesting..... I might look at something along those lines for my next project. My only worry is getting it registered in SA. Might be easier to get an old SA registered clubman and renovate in this State??

PS I have a friend that is in the process of building a Birkin PRB S3 Clubman, a few of them in SA now….
Have you seen this article – the old battery dilemma again!

Hey,

I have spoken with Mark a couple of times about his birkin build. It was following a conversation with him that i dropped the gearbox. Getting it registered should be ok (Being positive here!), i have had an engineer overseeing the build and he seems fine with it all. The big hurdle i think is going to be insurance.

But yes it would be easier to buy an already complete clubman and convert but i am trying to spread the cost over time, no large amounts. In theory... Batteries, controller and motor is a scary sum.
