Re: Sinopoly Cells $1.10/AH - All Sizes, Worldwide Delivery
Hello Skooler,
I am looking for 60AH cells (24 of them) for this project:
http://forums.aeva.asn.au/forums/for...s.asp?TID=2813
We are located in Valencia, Spain.
I am interested in your offer, when do you expect to receive new cells?
EVPower gave us a february date.

Hi Peskanov,
Interesting project, looks like it'll be great fun!
The new cells are due to arrive in mid-late January. I may be able to get a smaller order like this to you sooner.
I'm not sure about import tax and similar for Spain. I'll have to leave this up to you.
I make the price $1584 + shipping ($200-$400)
so EUR1540 + any taxes for spain.
Let me know if your interested.
Cheers
Mike

Thanks, yes we are having much fun with this rusty toy. I cross my fingers about not burning anything in the process, as it is our first EV conversion.
Unfortunately laws in Spain are pretty hostile to vehicle experiments, so it's going to be difficult to make it road legal
Your price sounds OK, I am sending you a PM.

skooler,
I can't send PMs, it seems. Maybe because I have no posts on this forum?
Anyway, could you send me your contact to "luispons", at gmail.com?

looking for price on the cells
tax if it applies
shipping
and any import fees
also i am very interested in the android app you were thinking of...i hope you have put more thought into it, perhaps you can share with us what you would like it to do...and what it would be compatible with...and maybe we could help give input...i have a zilla controller, it would be kinda sweet if i could communicate with an android

Hi electric85,
Just to be clear, I am not familiar with Canadian and NAFTA import rules.
I would advise using an import broker to help out.
I am struggling to find import fees etc online.
Cells: 48 200ah = 10560 usd
Shipping = 600usd
Total excluding tax 11160usd
Sorry that I can't be of more help with calculating taxes.
As for the android app, I was basically looking at building what emw have built. The only thing I would possibly add is some kind of music player and library.
I won't be building the app now as it's not worthwhile to me. I will simply use the emw app and associated hardware!
Cheers,
Mike

Re: Sinopoly Cells $1.10/AH - All Sizes, Worldwide Delivery
ok thanks for the price!
do you know what sales tax there would be? or would it just be import fees/tax that i will have to find out?
and the emw is a great app...but i agree it would be nice to have a music player, and also i would like to have a log for top speed reached, most amps drawn, average amps, average speed, average wh consumption, maybe rpms...it would be cool if it could work with the hairball for my zilla so that it could get more info!
i will try and look into import rules and costs, and hopefully be putting in an order in a few weeks. would the cells be coming from china, or do you have stock?

Whenever you charge a battery with a constant current charger, the voltage has no meaning.....so I asking what the open voltage is or was, shows ignorance of the process.

No BMS (and he was only charging 1 cell so it wasn't a balance issue). Just pumped so much power into it that it got into thermal runaway.

I'm concerned because my solar charger can put out 75 Amps and the batteries are under the sofa!

You better be concerned cause your playing Russian Roulette with your life, or anyone near you for that matter.
I hope you have a smoke alarm and dont sleep on that sofa.
