Default Planning Austin A30/5 Need Advice.

I'm currently hypothesizing a electric conversion of an AUSTIN A35, for those of you that don't know the car its a 685kg 34bhp car that looks like this

I'd need the car to drive either a 15 mile round trip or depending on the price difference a 40 mile round trip.

It also needs to be able to reach 45 mph fairly easily,

My dads an electronics technician and i was thinking of building my own controller. I'm also friendly with a number of mechanics and engineers as-well as having some basic knowledge of cars myself.

Here's the catch, I want to do this on the least amount of money possible.
What Kind of money am I looking at for a conversion that meets my needs outlined above.

Thanks in advance.
