Yeah, you have to remember it's a volunteer org, so thigs only get updated when they do. I'm pretty sure these guys aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I haven't been in awhile because life has been happening, but maybe I'll go this weekend and see you there.

Pasadena Meetups (More casual discussion group)

Diamond Bar Meetups (More structured meetings)

Also, for future visitors, the So Cal EV Converters club was a good effort to connect EV builders in the Los Angeles area. However, since these projects are slow going and we are so spread out in LA County, it just didn't make sense to have regular meetings, since there wasn't a whole lot of news every month regarding people's projects. So, it kind of folded in to the Pasadena EVA meetings where there is more discussion about conversions.
You didnt provide any help in finding the Pasadena EV club. Your URL's didnt even come close.

Sorry, I assumed anyone on a forum would understand how to navigate a website. Click on the "About" and "Membership" pages for more info. Your welcome.

Hi all,

I'll have to keep an eye on this thread as my vacation residence is near Lake Elsinore and that is where my EVs are. Current project will be the conversion of a sailboat from diesel aux to diesel-electric.

Hi Guys

Should you not move this thread to the EV Clubs section?

Actually, it would be good to have an EVAoSC club forum. Perhaps the Mods can set that up and move this thread over there. Good idea!

Meandering,

Just found this info, thanks. I am an EE student, but have been building cars since I was youg. Would be cool to check out your project or grab a cup of cofee and chat EV. I will pm you. I am in Venice.

Hi All
I just saw this thread, since I usually only look at the conversion section here.
The EVAoSC is alive and well in Diamond Bar and we have a new web site http://evaosc.org
That old website will be removed soon.

The Pasadena group is a very informal discussion group so email for info before going.

Hey meanderingthemaze, is that a picture of a Datsun 521 pickup as your avatar.
I have a electric one waiting as my next project.

George

Hey George,

Yup, that's an L521, good eye. I ripped it apart but since then my project has been on standby and now it has evolved into possibly a different plan altogether. So, I may have a clean Datsun ready to convert for sale in the near future. I really love those little trucks, but it was a bit of a compromise, because I'm just a bit too big for those tiny cabs. But man are they lightweight.

Take care
