Default Motor cuts out

There is a certain hill that has fairly sharp bend to the right at the top with a slight hump about midway through the turn. I have hit that turn at a pretty good clip several times. When I take the turn and hit that bump fairly hard the power to the motor cuts out momentarily. If I take it slower there is no problem. I have made hard right turns elsewhere with no cut out. I have crawled around a couple of times looking for a loose connections and found everything nice and snug. About an hour ago today I took that turn a little harder than usual and it cut out again. On the way home I was going over what could possibly be the problem. The Albright contactor sits crosswise in the back of the car with the solenoid end pointing left. I am thinking the centrifugal force on the solenoid plus the slight jolt is enough to break the contact points loose for a split second. Could it mean the solenoid is weak? Has anyone ever had an experience or know of something like this happening? I am going to turn the contactor 90degres front to back and try it that way.

Default Re: Motor cuts out

Put a peak recording DVM across the contactor and take your corner. If the contactor is opening up you will see a peak voltage captured. Alternatively you could jumper across the contactor and take your corner and if the problem goes away you know it is the contactor.
