How do you tell if it is a good cell, not a fake knock off. What is the best way to test it. And the best way to charge it. it is one single cell 3.2vdc.
Thanks
I am new to this...

Brian,
There is a whole thread about standardizing the testing to check the capacity using a Powerlab6.
http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums...ad.php?t=71283
If you have a Powerlab6 then you can import the settings that the group is using and run your cell through the test.
Basically it involves charging the cell to 3.65v, then discharging it at 38amps down to 2.25v while keeping compression on it.
Folks from my group buy of cells (via a different forum) have been doing some of their own testing as well at 100amp loads and taking thermalcam pics to measure temperature.
If you plan on buying more cells I'd be happy to help you navigate things.
I just got done doing a 500 cell buy and am working through another 100 cell buy right now. Feel free to PM me.
