Red face First Electric Build

I am here for the first time as a registered user. I have visitied this site off and on for a couple years following a few diferent projects and wating for atime when I could start my own. I have recently paid off my truck so I was able to finance the truck over again and pll out a substantially good start for my frst build. I will be if all the pieces align beginin with the entire AWD system from a mercedez (if i can circumnavigate the computer that operates it), and using this as the platform with a custom built tube chassis to hold a twinwarp nines and either a single or double 1000 amp controller . I have a ton of design issues related to the electrical components. I am pretty well set as far as the frame and automotive side of everything goes I am acustom to metal fabrication and frame building my last awd out of a wrecked sti went under my 47 plymouth coupe so thats not a big deal.
I guess i am saying I am wondering if anyone would be willing to help me choose the right components to create the correct balance between fast, reliable, and efficient. Ihave a numberof questions I wil post in the technical forum most likely tomorrow sometime in relation to motor controler battery transmission and wiring setup. thankyou for your time and i appreciate any help you might offer.

Cool Re: First Electric Build

The car will serve as my daily driver unless i have to travel further than the vehicles range which at the least should has to be around fifty miles well forty would do ok.
If anyone wants to look up the BMW Gina that is my overall idea or the exterior of the vehicle. I have a few ideas depending on the material on how to refigure the entire cars shape to make the vehicle more aerodynamic and even if airide was used go from one body that looked like a lambo to one that would apear to be an SUV. of course this will require not only one piece of this material but a system of powered spools to release or pull up and tighten the material in specific areas.

That is the perfect scenario i have in my head, if I cannot find a suitable material then i will be most likely building/ or buying a lambo body from carkit inc but i would rather spend that money on batteries.

to answer some obvious questions will be using or needing the following criteria to be met.

1. 0-60 mph less than 4seconds( i am hoping for white zombie performance levels.
2. lithium ion batteries would be best but cost will most likely push me to use lead acid and convert to lithium after i save the money unless i find a sponsor.
3. I would be interested to know if anyone can show me or knows how to use AA or D size batteries whether lithium or nicad to build big packs this is within my reach because of the substantial price cut i get on these type of batteries.
4. 50 mile range on board small gas generator for emergencies
ok i have to go clean up the yard and get some stuff straight so i can get the permit approved to build my garage/ mancave to make this project more comfortable.
5. would one warp 11 be better than two warp nines i could add another 11 inch motor later, what about other motors or configurations how about three or four warp sevens what would get me the best launch and fastest 0- 100 time
6. I know people say you dont need more than three gears but wouldnt a six gear tranny save energy for highway driving.
7. at what rpm is an electric motor the most energy eficient.

thankyou in advance for all your help.

oh shoiuld i use the awd system of will the weight undo the positive benifits from awd in your opinion of course. I think the awd is going to double the weight of my chasis.

Here is a list of parts that are part of the EV conversion process. Some of them have links to other pages that show a list of specific types of the component. Hope this helps a little.

You don't mention your budget. If you can't afford lithium, the rest will probably be an issue as well. Zombie's what, a $50 or $60k car?
