Default 1957 VW bug conversion

I'm just finishing this bug and test drives have been very impressive. I tried a Greatland Electric 40kW BLDC drive from China and it works well. Also 32kWh CALB pack w/BMS and a 12kW charger for over 100 mile range and quick charging. It hit 75 mph no problem and was still pulling. Pretty quick little bug, very fun to drive. I'll be it really goes with 250 N-m peak torque:

Any problems getting the motor/controller working? I seem to recall someone complaining about poor documentation, and figuring out wiring for regen control.

Support for the drive system was kinda weak but a handful of people pooled together and figured things out. The wiring is very simple and it worked perfectly the first time. I have not figured out if I can reprogram some of the parameters but so far no need, it works fine.

I think what we are most interested in is the motor/controller setup you are using and its cost and relative ease of installation. Sounds like a setup that would work great in vehicles larger than the little Bug.

I bought the drive system through Revolt Custom Electric in Austin, TX - http://www.revoltcustomelectric.com/

I don't think they list it yet but you can inquire.
