Default Update on Ranger DIY kit purchase from LionEV/CloudEV

Well...
no good news here. Since I placed my order on 4/23, as of 6/2, I never really received anything close to resembling a complete Ranger metal kit.
I did receive some parts, only to find they are in no way compatible with my truck.
In my up front conversations with Lion, I will swear the only requirement was that the Ranger only have the 5 speed manual transmission. Only as time went by did the requirements seem to get refined to the 2.3L 4 cyl engine.
Since I have a 3.0L 6 cyl 5 sp. transmission, nothing will fit using the Lion kit. The power steering pumps are different as well as the alternator/brackets, A/C is located on opposite side of what the 4 cyl has, motor mounts seem to be different, etc...
Bottom line is I wasted a month of time to find out this will not work.
Whether or not there was miscommunication, I never even received the full metal kit or the full instruction set on how to install anything.
I can only report what my experience was. So anyone considering the Ranger DIY kit From Lion better have the correct truck and hope everything gets delivered.

I feel I was lucky in the sense I ordered through CloudEV (www.cloudelectric.com) and I used my credit card. I think I have been treated pretty fairly through Cloud and for being the 'middleman' in this process.
It is my understanding that the Ranger kit is now being made for the various engine/transmission types through a variety of other 'subcontracting' vendors. Maybe a kit will be available soon, but for me, I am pursing other options now as I have a truck sitting in the garage waiting for adaptor/coupler metal.

In no way am I bashing LionEv, I just am reporting on my experience so far. They could be performing quite well for other people, and since I technically am not dealing with them directly, maybe it isn't fair to say they didn't measure up to what I expected, but since the kit was coming from them, then I think they bear quite a bit of responsibility.

I had to tell Ken at LIonEV that his adapter plate only fit the 4 cyl Duratec equipped trucks. He wasn't even aware that the 4 cyl Lima engined ones, or the V6 Rangers, had different transmission bolt patterns.

I'd be interested in what "alternate vendors" LIonEV is allegedly using for the metal kits. Predator Performance machined a total of 7 sets of metal components. Two went into the 2 Ford Rangers Predator Performance built and delivered for Ken's customers while the other 5, according to Predator Performance shop manager Jeff, are still sitting on their shelves. According to Jeff they've asked Ken repeatedly to come in, pay for them, and pick them up but Ken has not done so.

We may want to amalgamate this thread with http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums...e-14059p5.html

I just looked at the thread you posted earlier. I guess it could be consolidated.
On a side note, I have always been able to talk to Steve at Cloud EV and have been satisfied with him. I received ALL the electrical components including the Warp 9 motor this week, except for the charger. I think he is stuck in the middle, in dealing with Lion. But it's obvious there are different stories going around.
