I am in the process of selecting a charger and have two options:
  1. Elcon PFC5000 but equipped with CAN controller and Thunderstruck EVCC controller http://www.elconchargers.com/catalog/item/7344653/7638130.htm
  2. Thunderstruck TSM2500 with EVCC controller http://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/tsm2500-and-charge-controller.html
Both chargers are available in the Nominal Output Voltage I need.

Which one would you recommend and why?

The advantage of the Thunderstruck is that is a little bit smaller.
The Elcon is more expensive, but also better?

I had an Elcon 2000+ that died and I replaced it with two of the TSM2500 for 6 KW charging.

I really like the EVCC controller along with the TSM2500, I can program them myself without having to ship it back to the the manufacturer. They also run cooler than my old Elcon 2000+.

The EVCC also contains the electronics to connect to J1772 charging stations and will auto control the charge current when you connect to 120v or 240v L2 charging stations.
