Well, part of the reason I misspoke is that the information is not that easy to find. It's not well-advertised. I seem to also be mistaken about CA's tax credit. It seems that has been discontinued. The reason that the CA Energy Comission gave was that the battery performance was not up to par with industry standards. It seemed like a bogus reply.

I will not be able to get $2,000, but more like $1,200, which essentially takes care of the state tax.

I would agree that something is better than nothing, but it's not enough to make serious change.

What about a retroactive credit for the last decade or so, who would be up for signing that petition?

We need to press our members of congress have got to make subsidies equal to new for conversions. It is not just that conversions are more eco friendly, the are also more ECOnomically friendly. If the bank wants a new car, lets redo the springs, interior, windsheild, tires and roll the product out new. and how about insurance? If someone turns in front of you, you pay a company a couple thousand to move everything to the new donor. I am pressing my congresspeople and we all should be doing the same. juddmeyers@yahoo.com
