Don't forget Dimitri's EV Display also uses the hall effect, and does a lot more than the fuel gauge. Only draw back is the sensor is smaller so you have to use a copper bar, but you can just replace a cell strap with it.

I like the EV display, but you have to admit that being able to use the car's original fuel gauge with EV Power's fuel gauge driver is pretty slick. Luckily (or unfortunately), I'm a long way from having to pick between the two options...

Yes it is slick, but for another $30 bucks you get more information and more accurate information than a needle and some lines. "35% SOC" is better data than a needle showing a little more than "1/4 tank". Certainly if you want a stock dash the fuel gauge meter is the way to go.

Nice site, awesome product line, great feedback/kudos from the gang here - saved to Favorites! Sounds like you have a better business model as well, cool.

I'm still giving serious thought to using an amp hour counter of some sort, but to be honest I prefer the stealthy OEM look instead of the big extra gauge like EV display that would involve cutting the dash or having it hang out like a sore thumb. I'd have to know more about the fuel gauge chip before really deciding.

Pardon my ignorance, but is "Dimitri's EV Display" the same as the "EV Display" on Current EV Tech's web page?

Just wanted to add a quick update--

I have added several BLDC motors and controller/inverters to the website.

I will be adding several AC motors and controller/inverter options to the website soon.

I also added the ITT/Cannon J1772 connector and the Euro Spec. IEC 62196 connector.
