      I'd recommend against them. The AC vacuum pump is intended for use with an AC service manifold set, it has no valves to close the system after evacuating or to introduce the coolant. The hand pump could work but you would not like the amount of effort required to evacuate a complete cooling system (gallons) vs. a brake system (pints.)
