Hi EV community -

I have decided to sell my Porsche conversion as I am starting on another project.

I purchased the Porsche from Arizona in '21.

Key EV features :

  1. 9" series wound Advanced DC motor
  2. Zilla 1K Controller -- liquid cooled
  3. Porsche/VW adapter plate + hub + stage 3 clutch (less than 1k miles)
  4. 16kWh -- 8 modules Lithium (Enerdel) ~115V nominal
  5. Approximately 40-50 mile range
  6. Orion BMS
  7. J1772 Charger (will include a 16A EVSE, too)
  8. 300W DC/DC converter
  9. CAN bus display in cab for SOC, Voltage, etc.
  10. Elcon 2500W Charger
Key Porsche features :
  1. New tires (Fall of 2021) -- approximately 3k miles
  2. Very little rust (even in hell hole under battery)
  3. Rebuilt transmission linkage
  4. Upgraded LED headlights
  5. Clean California Title in my name. Not registered as an EV, but smog exempt as a pre-75.
  6. Recently repaired e-brake lever
Mandatory caveats :
  1. I am rebuilding the brakes at the moment. Right rear caliper was leaking. Upgrading master cylinder in the process to an improved design from Auto Atlanta.
  2. All of the batteries are in the front trunk. I had envisioned balancing them better between fore and aft, but lacked the fabrication expertise to do so.
  3. The interior gets a "C" grade. The previous owner attempted to restore it, but did not use top tier materials.
  4. Weather stripping should be replaced for the targa top and the front trunk. It is not water tight at the moment.
  5. Transaxle leaks
  6. Horn switch failed and has been relocated to a button on the dash. Wiring harness not altered to do so, so reverting to factory is simple.
Thanks for reading.

Open to reasonable offers. If you wanted to part it out and sell the Porsche roller and EV package it would likely pull about 20k--I'd prefer to sell it someone that is not going to put a V8 in it.

Best,
Austin
