Back in the days of the TV show "Miami Vice", a roommate and I were speculating about the idea of cops that wear $2000 suits and drive Italian sports cars. (No, of course they're not on the take...) I asked roomie what he thought Don Johnson drove before he got that TVR. Deadpan, my roommate replied, "His mom's Chevette."

I'll bet a lot of us can remember the first POS car we drove. Mine was a Pinto. Yeeeuck.
