[1968/99 Mustangs Don]

In Ruby Valley Nevada at the end of the road sits a clean 1989 S10 PU that belongs to family. I would like to pick it up and insert a electric motor, one. Rear drive, I believe, and the bank of batteries in the engine bay and truck bed.

GM is close to releasing a conversion kit.

Thoughts? Advice?

I believe the drive unit is supposed to be from the Cadillac Lyriq, based on the 57 Chevy they had at SEMA. May 2022 Hot Rod magazine has an article on it and on the AEM Electric Mustang.

Seems to take up a lot of engine bay space if that's the unit. Fossil thinkers, lol.

Save your pennies - it may be $25-30k if everything is in the kit.
