I am new to this forum. Hope someone out there might be able to help me out.
We have a 2000 Toyota sienna with an engine that has 290k. It is starting to burn oil, and I am pondering whether I can just take it and convert it to electric and use it as a commuter only.
Are there any kits out there? Pros and cons with converting a van? It is an automatic also, not sure if that makes a difference.

The biggest con is the weight. I'd love to convert my Caravan, but it would be quite expensive and without putting at least a couple hundred miles a week on it (mine does 20-30) it's just not worth it.
Unless you need to carry sheets of plywood a van is a poor commuter.
