It's a 55kW motor running 360v. Also have the onboard battery charger for the same Smart. Seems ideal for a mid-engine conversion like a MR2 or Miata or maybe a Porshe...? My understanding is it works good. It's sealed and looks like pretty good condition. Came from a crashed Smart I believe.

Open to Best Cash Offer or Trades. 1000 amp DC Controller? 240v split phase inverter? Bank of Solar Panels? Chevy Volt battery pack complete? Couple of Tesla Batteries? Or a Leaf Pack... OR ???

I would also be interested in people's feedback on this motor. How easy / difficult is it to gain control of it? I'm not a programmer, but I know there are people out there working with these motors... I always thought a mid-engine conversion would be awesome...

I'm located in N. California near Redding. I'm willing to drive up to about 100 miles (meet somewhere half way?) for a good price or trade. Shipping is a possibility but it's got to be worth it.

Cheers!

Among mid-engine cars, a Fiat X1/9 might be a good match.
So funny because I used to have an X1/9 I loved it! I thought about that!
