24v Driveable Car steering motor issue

I have a JR1932RX-24V Control box mother board. It was originally 12v but I replaced it since. Now when I use the remote control to steer the car it seems like the motor is getting too much power and it is turning really abrupt and harsh. Can anyone give some insight as too why its doing so?
