I have 4 Tesla modules I would like to make a battery bank out with Victron electronics for a solar based camper van conversion running a 230v Mitsubishi minisplit heat pump. 2200watts on roof.

First problem is the battery bank configuration. I will be using a full separated steel and hi temp battery boxes for each of the 4 with external venting. I was planning on running them in 2S2P configuration with BMS and inverter chargers on each string because of the risks of parallel strings but I’m just not sure.

I have read everything I can find and paralleling strings of 4 doesn’t seem like my best option. I would run at 96 volt in a simple series but there are no inverter chargers from Victron at that voltage.

I can’t afford LFP or I would go that route.

Hi, did you make any progress on using these Tesla modules for your camper House battery?
I have a similar project but using 48v LiFePo4, admittedly more expensive than salvaging some car lithium-ion modules, but i think more suitable for safe and low maintenace fit and forget in a camper.
