To keep things short I'm 38yo, I have to use a mobility scooter to get around outside. I have a 4 wheel Golden Avenger (older model) it uses a fwd/rev pot throttle, it's 24 volt and 750 watt motor. It uses SLA batteries. What I'm looking to do is swap the throttle with a twist grip. With the fwd/rev being on the same pot could this be done with a 3 way toggle to swap between fwd/rev or do I need to replace the speed controller, throttle, ect. If I need to replace any suggestions on one with reverse and lock control (keyed switch)
I've already isolated the light system from the main harness and did a LED conversion. Thank you in advance for any assistance. If you need anymore info let me know.

Hi, wondering if you made any progress on this?
I’m going to be getting a pride maxima 4-wheel through my provinces disability and I’m gonna wanna do some mods to it like this.
(ideally a similar twist throttle, maybe over volting for A little additional speed on the high end and obviously a lithium battery upgrade etc.)

It uses the same batteries, it has the same s-drive controller from what I can read in the manual but the motor is apparently 650W, regardless I think there may be a significant amount of overlap between the two considering they’re both in the same kind of weight class and compete against each other
