Hi,

I'm not sure if i'm posting this on the right forum, and i'm not very experienced with the topic.... but here it goes:

Im trying to find a way of connecting one wire going in with 4 or 5 other wires going out with a switch in the middle - the switch of course making the choice of which outgoing wire the incoming one is connected with.
I've been looking on the internet for a switch that does a (basic?) thing like this, but i can't find anything. Would you guys be able to help me out?

More info would be needed for a proper answer.
Is your project automotive related?
What are you switching? (signal or power?)
Will these circuits (that you want to switch) be required to carry any substantial current?

The entertainment industry (audio & visual) uses many different types of multi switching components
...but, they aren't designed to carry very much current
...so, it DEPENDS on what you're wanting/needing "it" to do

well, each output would need to carry 1 - 2 amps, 12 volts

What your looking for is often listed as a "changeover switch". Not recommending the linked product specifically, it's just what came up first as an example:

Can also be called "1 pole 5 way switch", abbreviated to "1p5t" ( 1 pole 5 throws ), or "5-way rotary switch".
