If I go with Tesla battery modules (I think I need to use a Tesla drive unit in order to remove the clutch/manual) then I will need to get at least 14 of these (don't you love my mock-up :) ) into the cabriolet.

My questions are:

1. Is a Tesla Drive Unit the only way for me to remove stick/manual shift?
2. If not, what are some alternatives?
3. If yes, are Tesla batteries the best for this car/design?
4. OR would looking at LG Chem be a better option?

Thanks,
~MJP

The car is FWD I recommend using a Nissan LEAF motor and gearbox with custom axles. Will drop right in. Then use a Resolve-EV controller to run it.

So no, Tesla is not the only option. Actually Tesla is probably one of the more complex options.

The trunk is the obvious location, though the least elegant. It depends on the form factor of the batteries are you are going to use.
