Yep, used 30-40 pounds of ice an hour at 95° F.

I like that idea. In southern California and other southwestern states they use swamp coolers because of the low humidity. That concept would also work in a car. In fact as a kid I remember my dad using that idea on our car. It was attached to a side window and the wind-stream blew cold air into the car. I never looked inside of the unit but I assume he poured water in it.better to cool only your neck with something like this.
