Hi all

I'm in search of 6 tesla battery packs. It seems the going rate in the uk is 800 per pack. My question is really? So much? Perhaps I should buy a whole tesla battery and split it up. I know batteries are expensive but this seems a tad premium.

Thoughts and experiences please... I have my hard hat on.

It's what your time and capital is worth. Cheapest Tesla batteries will come from a wreck that you part out completely. Following that, getting a whole pack and selling the rest as you describe...then individual used modules. It's hard to know the condition of individual modules that you can't test yourself, don't know what year they were made, or how they were used/charged...

These folks are in California, but I doubt these batteries are made there...Maybe they have an EU/UK distributor or some such. They're not cheaper than Model S batteries, but they're as good (in terms of specs—these are pretty new, and the seller's claims could be..optimistic). If you're gonna spend that money, maybe you can get a better form factor as well:
