Carwow 2021 :
"Tesla revealed in late 2020 that its battery technology is moving away from using cobalt, to a unit that would be made up of two-thirds nickel and a third manganese.

Once a battery is charged above 80% of its total capacity, it takes on more stress when being charged which negatively impacts its lifespan. If you don’t need to use the full range of your Tesla, keeping it below 80% charge is a safe bet to improve the life of the battery."

Edison Nickel Iron Cell - NiFe

Cost twice lead acid and similar to our Rolls battery costs, cheaper than our salt water batteries, and cheaper than Lithium.

Work over wider voltage range giving twice the power of similar Pb acid of similar Ah rating.

Non freezing KOH and LiOH electrolyte.

LiFePO⁴ lithium iron phosphate,
LFP (lithium ferrophosphate)
is the cathode.

Graphite with a metallic backing
is the anode.

Energy density is lower,
and has a lower operating voltage,
than lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO²)
But LFP is cheaper.
