Hello people
so I am going to convert a 1997 Nissan sunny to an electric I am using a 7.5kw electric motor what would be the voltage and amperage of the batteries you guys would recommend for this motor the seller recommended a 72v 105Ah battery but would a Low powered one work ? Thinking about lead acid batteries because lithium ion are too expensive so please let me know.

PS. it’s for our university project and will only be used for 10-15 mins just a little forward and reverse

A 7.5kw series dc forklift motor would technically work but will be underpowered, if it’s not a forklift motor it will likely be wholly inadequate

a 7.2kwhr Fla battery will only be good for short distance low speed city travel .

So I guess if your looking for
A 10 mile range and a
35mph top speed
Your components are in the ballpark

if your looking for more than that you will be disappointed
