Already plan to fuse the positive leg on each battery box, plus a service disconnect per box, contactor on positive and negative legs for redundancy and an inertia switch somewhere in there. I have experience with pcb manufacturing so I was thinking of building a board internal to the battery box with connectors to each battery module for thermistors and taps, and integrating pico fuses into that board. Just wasn't sure if it's necessary.
