Best batteries for a ZAP

Yes I did buy one and am looking to replace the batteries. It has 100AH 12v in there now. I can get 155AH 12vs for about $190 each lead-acid. I am wondering if this is the best or is there something newer and better even if it is a few dollars more.
I am just getting into this and trying to figure out if I stay and play or not. LOL

Anyone have an idea on a bigger and better motor?
