Like the title says:

Can someone enlight me on the 'best' charging profile for Nissan Leaf cells when using a Brusa NLG5 charger ?

I believe Nissan only charges the cells to 4.00V (each).

For my 48cell setup I'm considering doing a CC (ConstantCurrent) bulk charge at 25A/196V and move to the next fase when 192V is reached,
The second/final fase with a CV (ConstantVoltage) charge at 2A/192V charge will finish when it reaches 1A.

Any other suggestions ?

Hi Anthony,

That's great information, thanks !
I have now set my charger in automatic charge with 3 I fases and 1 U fase:

I1: 5A at max 4.03V per cell for 1 minute
I2: max Amps till 4.03V per cell,
I3: 5A till 4.04V per cell
U4: 2A at max 4.05V per cell until current is less then 1A
My BMS kicks in at 4.05 with shunting.

I'm planning on using one charger as master and adding two slaves for bulk only running fase I1,I2

Regards,

Paul
